Yodel today announced the launch of its updated customer app, aimed at providing customers with a more personalised parcel delivery experience this Christmas. The launch follows a record year of growth for the business, as it continues to invest in new technology and innovation.

A new survey* by UK independent parcel carrier Yodel suggests that almost a third (31%) of people plan to do the entirety of their festive shopping online this year, more than a fourfold increase from last Christmas, when only 7% opted for online-only gift-buying.

With big efforts being made to reduce our CO2 emissions through identifying alternative delivery methods and to use alternative fuels publicly shared, we have smaller initiatives internally where big steps are being made to be green at Yodel. Yodel has invested over £1m in a state-of-the-art new sortation system that is specially designed to handle delicate and irregular shaped parcels. The investment follows a record year of growth for the business, with it scaling up capability to handle a broad range of specialist items.
