Bristol colleague celebrates 30 years with parcel carrier
Yodel night shift manager, Chris Adams, is celebrating 30 years of working with independent parcel carrier Yodel in Bristol.
Chris first started at Yodel as a parcel sorter in 1992, after serving 8 years as a Weapon Engineer in the Royal Navy. Chris was quickly promoted to shift supervisor and night shift section manager shortly after, where he is now responsible for managing over 30 colleagues, and handling over 20,000 parcels a day.
To celebrate his 30 years with the Yodel team, Chris received £750 of Very.co.uk vouchers.
Chris Adams, Night Shift Manager commented: “I’ve seen many changes over the years and have been through all the highs and the lows. Clearly, as I’ve grown older the job has become much more physical but at least it means I don’t need to diet or go the gym! I’ve made some great friends during my time and look forward to many more years working here.”
Tony Foster, Service Centre Manager added: “It has been a privilege to have known and worked with Chris for the past 14 years. His experiences and the discipline he has gained serving in the Royal Navy have helped him to cope with the many changes and challenges he has experienced in the business. It has also given him the ability to take promotion in his stride. Chris has proven to be invaluable to me, his colleagues, and the company.”
