Colleagues at parcel carrier Yodel’s Selby customer delivery depot have donated over £300 worth of food and household products to the Selby & District Foodbank. Donna Dyson, Helen Watkins and Hannah Bestington from the depot’s customer service support team organised the collection, and drivers and other Yodel colleagues from the Common Lane site have collected a variety of items since the start of September.
Andy Holden, customer delivery depot manager at Yodel, said: “Gathering all the donations was a team effort, designed to support those in need in the wider Selby community. It has been rewarding to see all the colleagues at Selby getting involved in our appeal - the response has been amazing.
“We hope that our efforts will make a difference to the local community, and we look forward to working with the foodbank again in the future.”
Selby & District Foodbank is a project funded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in the local area.
Mark Barnett, project manager at Selby & District Foodbank , said: “We were so pleased to receive a large donation to the Selby & District Foodbank from the Yodel team at the Selby depot. They were good enough to ask what items we were short of and turned up with loads. This has already benefited many of our clients and we really appreciate the generosity of the Yodel team.”
