Yodel shortlisted for six leading industry awards
Parcel carrier shortlisted for awards across Logistics, Customer Experience, IT and HR
Independent parcel carrier Yodel has been shortlisted for no fewer than six national awards at four ceremonies this Autumn. Yodel has made the finals of the National Courier Awards, Customer Experience Awards, UK IT Industry Awards and Personnel Today Awards in categories recognising the carrier’s Logistics, HR, IT, Insight and Operations teams.
Yodel’s Adam Gerrard has been shortlisted for the prestigious ‘CIO of the Year’ award at the UK IT Industry Awards, recognising his ongoing contribution towards Yodel’s business growth. The company has also been shortlisted in the ‘Best Use of Cloud Services’ and ‘Development Team of the Year’ categories, for Yodel’s investment in cloud services and IT expertise respectively.
At the UK Customer Experience Awards, Yodel is shortlisted in the ‘Transport and Logistics’ category, in recognition of its work with Maru/edr on the parcel carrier’s customer feedback programme, ‘Have Your Say’. Initially launched in 2013, Have Your Say has accumulated millions of responses to date, offering Yodel and its clients unparalleled insight. The programme also allows Yodel to drill down into the detail of customer feedback and identify and share areas of best practice and areas for improvement, as well as highlighting developing trends and areas for innovation.
At the Institute of Courier’s National Courier Awards, five of Yodel’s frontline colleagues have reached the finals of the ‘Four Wheels’ category. The Couriers and van drivers from Yodel’s Basildon, Peterborough, Leamington Spa, Northampton and Ipswich depots were all nominated for their exceptional customer service and work in the community.
Finally, Yodel has been shortlisted for the ‘Managing Change’ category at the Personnel Today Awards. The award recognises excellence and innovation in managing change.
Andrew Peeler, CEO at Yodel, explained: “We recognise that every parcel represents a promise made by one of our retail clients to one of their customers. To be shortlisted for so many leading industry awards is a proud moment for the business and testament to the hard work and dedication of colleagues across the business in ensuring that those promises are kept. We wish all the teams the very best for the award ceremonies.”
The results of the National Courier Awards will be announced on Tuesday 9 October and UK Customer Experience Awards on Thursday 11 October 2018. The winners of the UK IT Awards and Personnel Today Awards will be revealed on Wednesday 14 and Wednesday 21 November 2018 respectively.
