Yodel celebrates being shortlisted for seven leading industry awards
Parcel carrier shortlisted for HR, security and technology awards
Independent parcel carrier Yodel has been shortlisted for a host of accolades at three national award ceremonies this autumn. The company has made the finals for multiple categories recognising its HR, security and technology teams at the UK IT Industry Awards, Retail Risk Fraud Awards and Recruitment Business Awards.
Yodel has been shortlisted alongside Vodafone UK, Heathrow Airport and Deutsche Bank for ‘Workplace Transformation Project of the Year’ at the UK IT Industry Awards, which celebrate the use, development and deployment of IT. The accolade commends the carrier’s IT transformation, which has fundamentally changed the way in which its colleagues work. As part of this project, the parcel carrier has refreshed its entire wide area network (WAN) and migrated everyone to the latest state of the art technologies to enable a fully mobile and collaborative workforce.
At Retail Risk’s Fraud Awards, which celebrate significant impact in retail risk and loss prevention, Yodel has been shortlisted for a total of five awards, including a nomination for Sarah Cork, Head of Security at Yodel, for the prestigious ‘Director of the Year’ title.
Also at the Fraud Awards, two Yodel employees have been shortlisted in the ‘Rising Star’ category, while another colleague has made the finals for ‘Regional Profit Production Manager’ award and the security hi impact team is up for the ‘In-Store Profit Protection Team of the Year’.
At the Recruitment Business Awards, which recognise excellence in staffing, Yodel’s work with communications agency SMRS has been nominated for the ‘Best Copy’ prize for its radio advertising. Yodel was among five companies shortlisted, alongside the likes of Volkswagen and Boots Pharmacy.
Mike Cooper, CEO at Yodel, says: “To be shortlisted for seven accolades across three commendable national awards programmes is excellent news for Yodel, and a testament to the positive strides being taken across the business.
“Our teams are focussed on delivering outstanding service to our both our internal and external clients, and we’ve worked hard to transform our business by developing new solutions and enhancements with a strong focus on improving service for the end user. To receive nominations for these awards reflects the hard work from our teams, and we wish all those involved the best of luck, and look forward to the award ceremonies this autumn.”
The results of the Recruitment Business Awards will be announced on the 7th of September. Winners of the Fraud Awards will be held on the 5th of October, and the UK IT Industry Awards are announced on the 15th of November.
