Yodel’s IT team shortlisted for five awards in recognition of innovative tech and IT services
The IT team at independent parcel carrier Yodel has double cause for celebration, having made the shortlist for a number of categories at two highly competitive national awards. The 200 strong department has made the finals of three categories at this year’s Big Data & IOT Excellence Awards, as well as two at the National Technology Awards 2017.
Yodel has been shortlisted in the Outstanding Data Management Solution (for the Yodel Report Centre), Outstanding Structured Database (for the Yodel Enterprise Data Warehouse) and the Big Data Team of the Year categories at this year’s Big Data & IOT Excellence Awards.
The team has also made the finals of the Technology Team of the Year category at the National Technology Awards 2017 for work on a strategic transformation project, while maintaining the working order of the more traditional systems and technologies already running Yodel’s operation.
Yodel’s Adam Gerrard, has also been shortlisted for CIO of the Year at the National Technology Awards 2017. Accountable for driving Yodel’s digital agenda, data use & analytics, information strategy, innovation and the technology infrastructure of the business, Adam has transformed the IT infrastructure to increase data control and reporting, improve employee engagement and enhance product competitiveness – all through the innovative use of technology.

Coincidentally both awards are being held on 17 May at the Millennium Hotel London Mayfair and Hilton Tower Bridge, London respectively.
