Aviva Tour of Britain logistics partner and sprints sponsor, Yodel, has today revealed the official design for this year’s sprints jersey.
The Aviva Tour of Britain, which starts on Sunday 6th September, takes place over eight days, and each stage features three intermediate Yodel sprint sections. Considered one of the most exciting aspects of the cycling race, the professional cyclists battle it out for the fastest sprint, to claim bonus points that can take seconds off their overall race time.
The winner of each stage sprints will have the honour of wearing the official Yodel sprints cycling jersey (see image above, as modelled by Scottish Cycling athlete, Joe Nally) the following day.
This year's Yodel sprints will be taking place in the following locations: Mold, Llanberis, Pentre Llanrhaeadr, Clitheroe, Barnoldswick, Salesbury, Abbeytown, Carlisle, Newcastleton, Gifford, Alnwick, Warkworth, Brampton, Hexham, Penrith, Buxton, Belper, Ilkeston, Fornham St Martin, Wattisham Airfield and Needham Market. To see the Yodel sprints action, tune into ITV, ITV4 and British Eurosport from Sunday.
