Yodel gears up with the Tour of Britain Tour Rides
Yodel's national workforce gathered together for this year's Tour of Britain Tour Ride. Over 50 Yodel employees, friends and family took on one of the 50 mile or 100 mile route challenges in Staffordshire earlier this month, winning them the Tour of Britain Rudy Project Team Award for the largest team.
The UK's leading parcel delivery company is a long running partner of The Tour of Britain, Tour Series and Tour Rides. The team turned out in force on the day, sporting the unmistakable, electric green colour of the YodelDirect Sprints Jersey, named after Yodel's new consumer door-to-door service.
Yodel's Director of Proposition, David Ward, who successfully completed the 50 mile route, said; "It was a fantastic experience. The event brought together Yodel people from all parts of the country, with a wide range of cycling experiences. The feeling of togetherness was amazing. With everyone in their YodelDirect sprint jersey and shorts we certainly looked the part!
"The course was incredibly challenging but everyone rose to the challenge. It will last in the Yodel memory for a long, long time. Thanks to the Tour Ride team for a fantastic event."
Peter Hodges from the Tour of Britain added: "The Yodel crew went above and beyond, showing the best team spirit, not only wearing matching jerseys but smiles as well. Even more of the Yodel team joined us this Saturday at The Daily Record Scotland Tour Ride, as part of The Tour of Britain Grand Depart weekend."
The Tour of Britain started in Peebles on Sunday 15 and culminates in London on Sunday 22 September.
You can catch the action live and daily highlights every evening on ITV4 and British Eurosport.
